Shirley Temple Black quietly celebrated her 80th birthday this week after breaking her arm in a fall at her suburban San Francisco home.

Just in time for May sweeps, Tom Cruise will be returning as a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show next month to mark the 25th anniversary of his breakthrough turn in Risky Business—his first sit-down with the queen of daytime since his declaration of love heard round the world.



Guitarist Rob Patterson and Carmen Electra are getting married. The ring..."It's a black diamond, perfect for us," Electra tells PEOPLE. "Different – it's our style."


The couple have been dating less than a year. It will be Electra's third marriage.
