An accounting mix-up led to the wrong woman being crowned Miss California USA. Christina Silva, 24, was declared the winner of the beauty pageant. She gave up the title to Raquel Beezley, who was originally named the second runner-up. Beezely, 21, will represent the state at the Miss USA pageant next April.
Pete Wentz is denying reports that he issued a cease-and-desist order against a Canadian band. The band, Neurosonic , has a song that allegedly pokes fun at his girlfriend, Ashlee Simpson. During a recent concert at NYC's Knitting Factory, the band's Jason Darr introduced the song "So Many People" by saying Wentz had sent the band a letter regarding the tune. a rep for the Fall Out Boy bassist, 28, tells PEOPLE magazine that is not true. The Neurosonic song entitled, "So Many People," reportedly pokes fun at Simpson's 2004 appearance on Saturday Night Live, when she appeared to be lip-synching.
CBS announced the following line-up additions this winter. return of The New Adventures of Old Christine on Jan. 28 and Big Brother on Feb. 12. Some other returns include; The Power of 10 with Drew Carey is back Jan. 2, the next Survivor on Feb. 7 and Jericho returns on Feb. 12. A new show The Captain, a new comedy starring Jeffrey Tambor and Raquel Welch about a group of people living in a prominent Hollywood apartment building, on Jan. 28.
